Multiple Product Add-Ins installed in Word or PowerPoint

When upgrading from legacy versions of DocGeneration which were released prior to version 5.0.0.0 and the new add-in has been installed there might see multiple add-ins present in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint. The ribbon might look something like the image below:

To remove the older add-in, follow the below steps:

Step 1: Remove the Add-Ins from Word/PowerPoint.

Click on File > Options to open the options window in Word. The file button might appear different in Word 2010 as opposed to Word 2013 but are in the same location at the top left-hand corner of the MS Word Window.

Click on the Add-Ins Menu on the options window. Now click on the Go button at the center bottom of the window. A new window appears which lists all the COM Add-ins installed on Word. Now remove the Add-Ins by clicking on the remove button after selecting the items you wish to remove.

Step 2: Safely uninstall the Add-ins

The next step is to navigate to the Uninstall or change a program window. Simply go to Control Panel and click on Programs > Programs and Features > Uninstall a Program.

Uninstall all the DocGeneration and SlideGeneration Add-Ins that are installed on the local machine by right-clicking on the installed feature and then clicking on Uninstall.

Step 3: Navigate to SharePoint Template Gallery and Install the Add-Ins.

Go to the SharePoint environment where DocGeneration and/or SlideGeneration is installed and activated.

At the top on the SharePoint ribbon within the Template Gallery, Click on the drop-down menu labelled: “Install Qorus Office Add-in” as shown below.

Select the appropriate Add-In which matches the version of Office you have installed on your machine.
